I was a dancer long before I became a painter. For years I danced all day with coaches and teachers, endlessly preparing for competitions, But when I stopped doing competitive dance, I attended Ringling. I had also purchased a home in South Africa but couldn't rationalize going to Ringling and owning a home in South Africa. Ringling won. I wanted to see if I could transfer my love of and talent for dance to creating with my hands. My art comes from inside and give me peace.
