On April 15-16, 2026, noon to noon, our Giving Challenge page will be open for 24 hours to the public to donate to Sarasota Pen Women.

 

Since 2012, this event has connected about 700 nonprofit organizations with passionate donors and community members to support diverse causes and create enduring impact in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties. Hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation, more than $75 million has been raised.

Your generous donation helps fund our annual Launching Leaders program, our primary community outreach program, supporting college-bound high school seniors in Manatee and Sarasota County public schools. Our annual student competition in the categories of Letter, Art, and Music provides awards from $200 to $2,000.

Together, these programs embody our mission to encourage creativity, recognize talent, and nurture a lifelong appreciation for the arts throughout our community. Every dollar donated helps us provide student awards, educational programs, community outreach, and free arts experiences, keeping creativity alive and accessible.
