Gratitude Garden Party

Dear Penwomen Sisters,

You are invited to our season’s opening “Garden of Gratitude Party” on October 14 at 11:30 at Lynn Wilson’s secret garden, “Villa Serena”, on the waterfront in Indian Beach/Sapphire Shores across from Ringling College. This first get together is dedicated to sharing our friendships and stories after our long months of Covid separation.

Our “Garden of Gratitude” party will honor and introduce our past and present Board of Directors.  We will enjoy 2 acres of 400 year-old oaks and the 1924 Mediterranean Mansion of John Ringling’s partner, Charles Jordan, who was responsible for the production of Ringling’s Circus Posters right here in the garage studio and who managed much of Ringling’s real estate development.

A delicious, fully-protected individual box lunch will be served with socially appropriate distancing. (Choices will include meat, vegetarian, or              ). While we are on the bay with fresh Gulf breezes, masks (and hats) are requested (with a contest awarding the most interesting creations). We have chosen the healthiest environment for you to relax on and enjoy your PW friends. We have some seating available, but welcome your bringing your own beach chair. Please

Directions: Drive via Hwy #41 /Tamiami Trail to the main entry across from Ringling College and Starbucks, the traffic light at Indian Beach Road and the Shell Station. Follow to the waterfront of 3221 Bay Shore Road 34234. Enter the Gates and circle around to the many open parking areas. (Buddy sharing is appreciated. )
