Welcome to the NLAPW Sarasota Branch

Sarasota Pen Women are creative souls — writers, artists, photographers, musicians, composers, and other creative adventurers in the arts. We are members of the National League of American Pen Women (NLAPW), which is the oldest multi-discipline arts organization for women in America, founded in 1897 in Washington, DC.  The Sarasota Branch of NLAPW (Sarasota Pen Women) was founded in 1957. Members meet monthly from October through April, working to fulfill the NLAPW objectives to “encourage, recognize and promote” creative work of its members and to reach out to the Sarasota community.
